Rebecca Blank is dean of the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, Henry Carter Adams Collegiate Professor of Public Policy, and professor of economics at the University of Michigan, as well as co-director of the National Poverty Center at the Ford School. She was a member of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers from 1997 to 1999, and author of the prize-winning 1997 book, It Takes A Nation: A New Agenda for Fighting Poverty. Her recent work includes Is the Market Moral? (co-authored with William McGurn, 2003).
