Born and raised in Kenya, Samuel Kiptalai Elolia completed his PhD at the University of Toronto before moving to the United States. He is currently associate professor of Christian doctrine and missiology at Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, TN, where he has taught since 1998. He teaches at the Eldoret Pastoral Institute in Kenya during the summer months.
