Rev. Jerry Stinson is Senior Minister of the First Congregational Church of Long Beach, California. He is an Associate Fellow of the Westar Institute (Jesus Seminar) and on the Board of Directors of Progressive Christians Uniting. He is a member of the Christian Muslim Consultative Group of Southern California and the National Advisory Board of Americans United for Separation of Church and State. A former UCC missionary in southern Africa, he chaired the Board of Directors of the United Church Board for World Ministries and was on the board of the UCC Office for Church in Society.
