Walter Brueggemann is professor emeritus of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA, and a minister in the United Church of Christ. He is a past president of the Society of Biblical Literature and has recently published books on Solomon and worship in the Old Testament, as well as Inscribing the Text: Sermons and Prayers of Walter Brueggemann.
